Speed doubled for high-resolution cameras
The new M4 and M7 megapixel cameras from JAI provide high-resolution images at double the speed of previous models, with full resolution frame rate of 24Hz and partial scan frame rate of up to 120MHz
The Camera Link standard is being adopted by many of the leading digital camera manufacturers to reduce cabling complexity and cost, the Rebel is one of the first boards to offer this option*.
Another feature is dual asynchronous capture; this enables two totally separate cameras to be acquired simultaneously and asynchronously on the same board.
Where two cards were previously needed only one Rebel is needed in most applications.
Onboard processing is also an option providing shading correction and selectable run length encoding thus reducing the load on the host.
The Rebel offers many important features for linescan such as encoder input, variable length scanning for applications like postal sorting and opto-isolated I/O for reject control.
Where host processing is not enough the Rebel is fitted with the CAB interface which links the board at 200 Mbytes/second to co-processors such as the Coreco Imaging Mamba a PIII based embedded vision engine.
Software support includes IFC, a simple camera interface API, Sapera, a multi-processor Imaging Library and WiT, a truly scaleable graphical vision development environment.
*Camera Link is a 5 wire serial interface with a standard connector interface.
All Camera Link cameras and framegrabbers will interface using the same simple cabling, reducing cost and complexity.
The interface encompasses high-speed data and serial control. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
