The 2M30 SA camera from Dalsa is a 1600 x 1200pixel 7um-pixel interline transfer camera aimed at high-speed applications that require both fast shutter and high resolution in one camera.

The 2M30 SA camera from Dalsa is a 1600 x 1200pixel 7um-pixel interline transfer camera aimed at high-speed applications that require both fast shutter and high resolution in one camera.

Running at up to 30 frame/s, the camera offers progressive scan and is asynchronously triggered, making it ideal for applications such as electronics inspection, metrology and traffic.

The camera is packaged in a tiny 56mm cube, and features a selectable 8 or 10bit output via a CameraLink interface.

It also features full remote control of all camera parameters via RS232.

The camera boasts some advanced capabilities including pixel by pixel flat field correction to remove all variations in lighting and optics and binning to increase sensitivity.

With a datarate of 80Mpixel/s, heat is obviously a consideration.

To alleviate this, Dalsa has employed heat-pipe technology which was first used on the Piranha 2 linescan camera.

This ensures the camera's sensor runs cool and provides enhanced signal to noise performance despite the small footprint.
