Machine vision software is hardware
independent

Sapera Processing 5 is the latest release of Coreco Imaging's flagship vision application development environment, bringing true hardware independence.

Sapera Processing 5 is the latest release of Coreco Imaging's flagship vision application development environment, bringing true hardware independence The software is based on a set of speed-optimised C++ classes

Because Sapera Processing 5 is not board specific, it may be used with Sapera-LT, IFC, or even an image in host memory, regardless of how it was produced.

Framegrabber support is provided by the board's native SDK such as Coreco's Sapera LT or Imaging Studio.

Sapera Processing 5 is fully compatible with third-party frame grabbers by interfacing with third party APIs.

At the core of Sapera Processing 5 is a royalty-free image processing tool, and because Sapera Processing 5 is designed to be modular, functionality can be extended by purchasing addon, application specific tools (which do however require run-time licenses).

The first of these addon tools is an advanced search tool, which has been benchmarked very favourably against competing best of breed algorithms in several evaluations around the world.

More tools and extra functionality will be announced for Sapera Processing 5 in the near future.

Sapera Processing 5 facilitates rapid application development (RAD) by providing a minimal set of "easy-to-use" classes.

Most of the processing functions are highly optimised for speed to increase application efficiency.

The best algorithms from Coreco's existing software products Sapera 4, WiT and MVTools have been included in Sapera Processing 5.

Indeed, much of the contents of the image processing tool at the heart of Sapera Processing 5 have been carried forward from existing functionality in these packages.

Anyone who has purchased Sapera 4.2 in the 12 months to 1st June 2003, or who has a valid maintenance agreement, can upgrade to Sapera Processing 5 free of charge.

For anyone using Sapera 4.2 or less who does not qualify for a free upgrade, there are various cost-effective upgrade paths available. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
