Industrial Firewire cameras boast extra
features

The new Dolphin range of cameras for the IEEE1394 bus from Allied Vision Technology boasts advanced features and aggressive pricing not commonly found on industrial megapixel cameras.

The new Dolphin range of cameras for the IEEE1394 bus from Allied Vision Technology boasts advanced features and aggressive pricing not commonly found on industrial megapixel cameras The entire range of cameras includes features such a 15 frame store for burst acquisition and storage of images prior to download to the host, ideal for multiple-camera applications, and true partial scan capabilities

In addition the cameras have in built shading correction and 63 user-configurable lookup tables for image preprocessing along with 12bit A/D conversion.

For interfacing to the outside world the cameras also can remove the need for the vision system to have an I/O card, with user-configurable I/O on board including a shaft encoder input ideal for synchronising image capture and reject control on conveyor based.

There are four models in the range: two monochrome and two colour.

The Dolphin F145 has a megapixel 0.66in black and white or colour CCD with 1392 x 1040pixel resolution at up to 15 frames per second.

The Dolphin F201 uses a megapixel 1/1.8in black and white or colour CCD with 1628 x 1236pixel resolution at up to 12 frames per second.

ALL cameras are IEEE1394 DCAM1.3 compatible All Dolphin cameras use Sony interline transfer, progressive scan sensors, and are aimed at machine vision applications.

The cameras offer a special sequencing mode, and firmware updates can be performed via the host interface.

Horizontal, vertical and full binning is offered on the Dolphin 201C model for increased frame rates and enhanced sensitivity. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
