Vision software makes the most of smart
sensors

A new version of the vision software designed for the DVT range of smart sensors takes advantage of the full capabilities of the DVT family of machine vision systems.

Intellect is the latest and most advanced version of the vision software designed for the DVT range of smart sensors and takes advantage of the full capabilities of the DVT family of machine vision systems Intellect represents a dramatic improvement in both performance and features, with improvements to many of the tools and a reworking of the user interface to make it even easier to use

This new version also includes support for the new Legend LS, linescan sensor and the Spectral Camera for accurate colour recognition.

Additional features include a completely new set of filters such as gradient, high pass, low pass, convolution and morphology, and new tools such as datum frame, statistics and defect detection, which can detect defects on parts rotated at 360 degrees.

The defect detection tool is template based, and is trained with a number of "good" examples, making setup easy.

The barcode tool has been enhanced and now handles omni directional 1D barcodes.

Intellect also now includes better cycle time breakdown to allow for better application fine tuning.

Intellect supports several common data standards for factory floor implementation such as OPC, allowing easy integration with HMI and other industrial packages, and Intellect can act as a web server allowing the DVT smart sensor range to be accessed over the Internet.
