Digital frame grabber has enhanced features
The new Coreco Imaging Rebel Digital is a cost-effective digital frame grabber offering many new features not previously available.
There are many fundamental tasks in machine vision where the same processing algorithms are used time and time again.
In the past, these algorithms were available as separate CVB modules which had to be purchased as and when they were required.
New in CVB Version 9.0 is the extended basic system called the Foundation Package which makes it easier to enter the modular world of CVB, and enables the user to solve a whole range of applications without the need for extra tools.
At the heart of this new package is the tried and tested CVB Image Manager which handles the control of the image capture and the optimisation of the image display and permits abstracted access to image data by the various CVB tools and algorithms.
The Foundation Package includes the functionality of the Image Manager but has been extended with a set of optimised algorithms for edge detection, blob detection and static image data evaluation plus image filtering and arithmetic operations on images.
The Foundation Package also includes several other fundamental image processing technologies such as the new algorithm for 2D image data calibration which allows the simple use of a dynamic thresholding in the event of a fluctuating greyscale distribution as well as many other routines for image format conversion.
CVB 9.0 is further enhanced with the inclusion the excellent graphical user interface, iTuition which offers less experienced users a method of creating complete executable vision applications by using simple drag and drop techniques.
Experienced programmers still have the alternative of using the commonly available compilers in conjunction with the CVB Foundation Package.
This means that both new and experienced CVB users are provided with a convenient and comprehensive collection of optimised image processing functions without having to decide which basic tools to select.
The Foundation Package can of course, be expanded to include any of the other optional tools from the CVB toolbox, allowing it to be used for other tasks such as object recognition, barcode reading or colour processing. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
