Firstsight Vision will be showing the first new GigE Vision cameras for 2007 from Jai and Dalsa at IPOT 07.

These will include a new, high-speed camera in the Genie series from Dalsa.

Genie cameras combine standard gigabit Ethernet technology with Dalsa's "trigger to image reliability" framework to dependably capture and transfer images from the camera to the host PC.

In addition to a comprehensive range of lighting techniques which may be applied to a variety of machine vision applications, there will be lighting controllers with I/O control to realise GigE potential as part of Firstsight Vision's range of Ethernet compatible machine vision components.

New CameraLink products will also be announced, including the Piranha trilinear colour linescan camera from Dalsa and a new CameraLink frame grabber.

The new colour linescan camera will feature Dalsa's own sensor for high sensitivity and speed and will be twice as fast as any other colour linescan camera.

The new frame grabber is based on the PCI Express x4 interface - the next generation bus interface technology for PCs.

The PCI Express standard is a serial digital interface technology that is specifically designed to offer dedicated bandwidth to each plug-in device while reducing the PCB design complexity.

PCI Express x4 offers four times the bandwidth available with the PCI Express x1 interface.
