Stemmer presents Common Vision Blox seminar

A Stemmer Imaging product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 15, 2009

Stemmer Imaging will be running a free one-day seminar on practical applications of its Common Vision Blox (CVB) hardware-independent imaging toolkit.

The seminar will take place at Wokefield Park, Reading, UK, on 25 February 2009.

'The possibilities offered by CVB, especially in the field of GigE Vision, have grown dramatically since the introduction of CVB 10 in 2008,' said sales and marketing director, Mark Williamson.

'This seminar will provide the opportunity for delegates to learn more about the GigE Vision and GenICam standards, and there will be detailed sessions on a host of CVB capabilities.' A session will be dedicated to the CVB GigE Vision Server, which brings a new approach to GigE Vision by enabling the computer on which it is installed to behave like a complete GigE Vision and GenICam compatible camera.

Use of GigE Vision Server PC for distributed computing across PCs will also be illustrated.

Furthermore, the company will highlight the use of CVB Camerasuite, an independent SDK that is supplied free of charge with all GigE Vision cameras from Stemmer Imaging.

Other sessions include increasing image processing speeds using the GPU on the PC graphics card; advanced, real-time 3D imaging using new algorithms for capturing and comparing 3D objects and their surfaces; and advanced search capabilities.
