A Stemmer Imaging product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 6, 2009

Stemmer Imaging, formerly Firstsight Vision, is offering Dalsa's Genie M1600 and C1600 two-megapixel, GigE Vision-compliant cameras for OEMs, system integrators and resellers.

The Genie C1600 and Genie M1600 colour and monochrome cameras feature high-quality, two-megapixel, high-resolution 1,600 x 1,200 Sony sensors, making them ideally suited to a host of industrial imaging applications in the semiconductor, robotics and traffic control industries.

Stemmer Imaging can now offer DALSA’s Genie M1600 and C1600 2 megapixel GigE vision-compliant cameras for OEMs, system integrators and resellers.

Stemmer Imaging can now offer DALSA’s Genie M1600 and C1600 2 megapixel GigE vision-compliant cameras for OEMs, system integrators and resellers.

These versatile cameras offer high frame rates with vertical windowing and horizontal and vertical binning.

Frame rates up to 114 fps can be achieved, with 15 fps at full resolution.

The Genie M1600 and C1600 cameras combine standard GigE Vision technology with Dalsa's Trigger-to-Image Reliability framework to capture and transfer images from the camera to the host PC.

Additional features include a global electronic shutter with exposure control, on-board flat-field correction, and on-board colour conversion (used by the colour model) to produce crisp and clear images.

The GigE Vision camera integrates advanced camera and board image acquisition technologies in a single package.

The cameras feature an RJ45 ruggedised screw-mount cable connector, which makes them ideal for robotic applications.

The cameras are supported by both Dalsa's Sapera development environment and Stemmer Imaging's CVB Camerasuite, which provides manufacturer independence for all acquisition technologies, and delivers the same performance regardless of the image-acquisition device being used.

This feature allows OEMs to start using the Genie without re-writing the application.

In addition, CVB includes diagnostics and setup utilities for application development, custom camera configurations and system deployment.
