Motorised scanning stages from Prior have always had a reputation for quality and reliability and now the company reckons it is delivering the proof with every one During final assembly each precision stage is rigorously tested to ensure that it exceeds the most stringent specifications for parameters such as repeatability, accuracy and orthogonality (squareness)

New scanning stages at Analytica
Prior Scientific will be showing several new products for the first time at Analytica in May.
This regime has always been in place but recent improvements to the mechanical design of Prior's stages have allowed the tolerances to become tighter still.
All Prior's stages are now delivered with a detailed test and inspection report that covers not only the parameters mentioned above but also many quality control checks.
This testing process also generates numerical data that is used by the H30 series of controllers, designed and manufactured by Prior, to ensure unsurpassed performance.
This information is stored locally on an EEPROM memory chip that is fitted to most ProScan stages.
The EEPROM is then interrogated by the ProScan controller to complete the "intelligent communications" protocol and deliver the highest performance scanning stage and stepper motor controller package on the market. Request a free brochure from Prior Scientific ...
