The latest full-colour 20-page product bulletin available from Pittman profiles Lo-Cog brush-commutated DC gearmotors designed for smooth, quiet operation and long life.

These gearmotors are ideal for applications in a wide range of industries including data storage, medical/biotech, semiconductor, automation, commercial aviation, hobby, and others requiring high performance and reliability.

"Bulletin LCG" covers Lo-Cog Series GM8000, GM9000 and GM14000 brush DC gearmotors with all relevant specifications and performance data.

Each series is offered in varying lengths and with sintered steel spur gears as standard.

Series GM8000 gearmotors are available with a range of 11 standard reduction ratios from 6.3:1 to 1803.6:1; Series GM9000 gearmotors with 12 ratios from 5.9:1 to 4732.5:1; and Series GM14000 gearmotors with four ratios from 5.9:1 to 218.4:1.

Peak torques up to 500os-in can be achieved with wide-face gear options.

Armatures are skewed to minimise magnetic cogging, even at low speeds, and windings are resin-impregnated for greater reliability in incremental motion applications.

Two-pole permanent magnet stators are constructed of ceramic magnets enclosed in heavy-gauge steel return rings.

Diamond-turned commutators ensure maximum brush life.

Optional customisation components include cartridge brush assemblies, encoders, modified shafts, shaft-mounted pulleys, ball bearings, electromechanical brakes, and RFI suppression.
