A new 22mm brush DC motor with a length of 1.900" can provide up to 40% more continuous torque compared with shorter models, and is ideal for mass data storage and semiconductor processing equipment
By using precision bearings and sealed lubrication, the G22B series gearbox offers long life and low maintenance for a wide range of demanding applications as far reaching as computer peripherals, medical and diagnostic equipment and even model locomotives.
With input speeds to 6000rev/min, torque ratings to 600mNm and a maximum length of just 43mm, the G22B combines high precision and compactness well beyond standard spur type gearboxes and would be the natural choice where high output torque and high axial/radial loads need to be accommodated directly at the output shaft.
As with all Pittman products, customisation is readily available with higher torque ratings, alternative ratios, mechanical interfacing features and material options to ensure that application requirements are completely resolved.
Lo-Cog 6000 series brushed DC motors are available in three lengths (31.9, 41.3 and 48.3mm) and can provide peak torques to 72mNm and speeds up to 8550rev/min.
They use a skewed five-slot armature design with bonded neodymium iron boron magnets resulting in high torque to size ratio with negligible magnetic cogging facilitating precise control.
The 6000 series is available with a choice of encoders including the new E22B ROSE (reflective optical sensing encoder) which combines an innovative modular construction for low-cost, high-performance position and speed sensing.
