Ethernet switches feature flexible cabling
The Factory Line modular manageable switch system from Phoenix Contact is designed specifically for industrial Ethernet applications on automation systems and offers flexible cabling.
Switches extend industrial networks
The Factory Line FL Switch SF range of standard switches provides rapid and inexpensive network expansion down to field level.
The range includes basic hub modules; hub modules with built-in SNMP agents which allow easy integration with company-wide networks, and switches which allow users to choose between linear and redundant ring network topologies when implementing their installations.
In addition to these network modules, the Factory Line range also offers Interbus/Ethernet gateways and Ethernet bus terminal units, both of which make it easy to connect analogue and digital I/O devices to an Ethernet installation.
The Interbus/Ethernet gateway provides a link for Interbus systems with up to 512 I/O, and is particularly useful where fast response time is important, while the Ethernet bus terminal interfaces directly with I/O modules from the Phoenix Contact Inline range.
Software support for the Factory Line range is provided by the Factory Manager package.
Designed to be intuitive in operation, this provides features which aid the start-up, operation and maintenance of Ethernet networks in automation applications.
Its facilities include network monitoring, configuration of connected devices, and IP addressing.
A range of views is provided to ensure that network status information is always clearly presented.
Complementing the main products in the extensive Factory Line range, Phoenix Contact also offers copper and optical-fibre cable, medium converter modules, terminal boxes and a hand crimp tool for use with RJ45 connectors. Request a free brochure from Phoenix Contact ...
