Compact alternative to linear supplies
Designed specifically to meet the needs of industrial users, tiny switch-mode power supplies in the Mini-PS range from Phoenix Contact are an ideal alternative to bulky, inefficient linear supplies.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of industrial users, tiny switch-mode power supplies in the Mini-PS range from Phoenix Contact are an ideal alternative to, or replacement for, bulky, inefficient linear supplies, and they offer an extensive range of benefits, including universal input, fully filtered output, low output ripple, and an exceptional mean-time between failures of 500kh Available in four versions, with outputs of 5V at 3A, 24V at 0.65A, +/-15V at 1A, and 24V at 2A, the new Mini-PS power supplies can operate from any 50/60Hz AC input in the range 85 to 264V, or any DC input from 90 to 350V, without the need for adjustment or setting

The Variosub-RJ45/IP67 connector is a reliable and cost-effective method of connecting network services to equipment which is required to operate in demanding environments.
All versions are suitable for DIN-rail mounting, with the 5V and 24V 0.65A versions being just 22.5mm wide, and the other types being 45mm wide.
A power reserve of up to 100% makes these units ideally suited for use with capacitive and other difficult loads, while the low ripple content of the output - 100mV or less - allows them to be used to power even the most sensitive equipment.
The outputs are fully protected against overloads and short-circuits, and no derating is needed up to 70C, which is the maximum operating temperature for the units.
Output status is monitored continuously, with correct operation confirmed by an LED indicator.
On the 24V 2A unit, an active hard-wired monitor output is also provided, which can be used to provide a remote indication or alarm if, for any reason, the power supply output voltage falls outside of its normal range.
To allow their use with poor-quality mains supplies, these versatile units will, in the event of a momentary supply interruption, maintain full output for at least 100ms when operating from a 230V input, and for at least 20ms when operating from a 110V input.
This feature avoids unnecessary and potentially costly shutdowns in the equipment powered by the supplies.
Phoenix Contact Mini-PS power supplies carry European, US and Canadian approvals, making them suitable for use in virtually every country of the world. Request a free brochure from Phoenix Contact ...
