Phoenix Contact claims to offer one of Europe's most comprehensive ranges of IP67-rated connector products, all of which are fully protected against the ingress of dust, and against the effects of immersion in water to a depth of 1m.

This makes them suitable for use, without further protection, in the toughest industrial and commercial environments.

For signal applications, Phoenix Contact's IP67 range includes RJ45 and D-sub connectors.

And for power applications, the company offers its money-saving Heavycon-Advance products.

Also supplied in IP67 versions are sensor/actuator splitter boxes and their associated preterminated cables.

The tough new Variosub-RJ45 connector provides a convenient, reliable and cost-effective method of connecting telecommunication, Ethernet and other network services to equipment which is required to operate in demanding environmental conditions.

To maximise versatility, and to ensure compatibility with existing crimp tools, the connector uses the industry-standard RJ45 configuration.

For applications requiring IP67-rated D-sub connectors, Phoenix Contact offers the Variosub-D-Sub, which is compatible with readily available standard 9- and 15-pin inserts.

In addition to their excellent ingress protection, these connectors offer convenient push-pull locking, two separate cable entries, and individual coding.

They can also be supplied in versions with enhanced EMC protection.

Power connections in harsh environments are catered for by Heavycon-Advance connectors which completely eliminate the need to use mounting bases, thereby reducing costs by as much as 30%, and also saving valuable space.

These easy-to-fit connectors provide up to 50% more connection space than conventional connectors, and are compatible with B-format HC connector inserts which are available with between six and 24 poles, and with ratings up to 16A at 500V.

SACB IP67 sensor/actuator boxes from Phoenix Contact simplify and speed field wiring, as well as facilitating maintenance.

They can be supplied in four-, six- and eight-slot versions, each slot being equipped with two M12 female connectors.

Depending on the model, the boxes have either an M23 connector for the master cable, or a ready-fitted master cable.
