I/O modules handle the harsh life

Fieldline fieldbus I/O modules are suitable for direct mounting onto machines and plant in even the harshest environments.

A rugged mechanical design, featuring industrially hardened packaging, and an IP67 protection rating, mean that Phoenix Contact's new Fieldline fieldbus input/output (I/O) modules are suitable for direct mounting onto machines and plant in even the harshest environments The new modules also use plug-in connections throughout to speed and simplify installation, and to eliminate the risk of wiring errors

To ensure maximum versatility, Fieldline I/O modules are offered in versions to suit all major fieldbus protocols, including Interbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet and CANopen.

All versions have separate bus-in and bus-out connectors, making wiring straightforward, and eliminating the cost and inconvenience of using separate T-connectors to maintain bus continuity.

Available in a variety of models, including, for example, types with eight input channels, and others with eight output channels, Fieldline I/O modules are designed specifically for ease of setup and use.

Fieldbus parameters can be set without the need for special tools or programming devices, and the units incorporate LED status indicators for each channel, as well as for the bus connections.

In addition, the modules feature the unique Fieldline diagnostic system, which provides easy and continuous access to detailed information about the status of the bus and the I/O devices, while imposing only a minimal bus load.

With facilities for DIN-rail or screw mounting, Fieldline modules, with their compact construction, are an ideal choice for use within control panels and field terminal boxes, as well as for direct on-plant mounting.

To complement these innovative and versatile modules, and to further simplify and speed wiring, Phoenix Contact offers a comprehensive range of compatible preterminated plug-in cables.

Since the modules use industry-standard M8 and M12 connectors, however, they are equally suitable for use with cables which have been produced by the user. Request a free brochure from Phoenix Contact ...
