Fieldbus I/O blocks save time and money
A new range of fieldbus I/O modules combines cost savings over conventional systems with fast, easy installation using pluggable connector blocks with spring-clamp terminals.
Designed to provide convenient digital input/output facilities at low cost, and in a minimum of space, Phoenix Contact's new Inline block fieldbus I/O modules not only offer substantial cost savings, compared with more conventional fieldbus I/O systems, but are also fast and easy to install, thanks to an innovative design which incorporates pluggable connector blocks with spring-clamp terminals Inline block I/O modules are available in versions which provide 16 inputs, 16 outputs, 32 inputs or 32 outputs, making them an ideal choice for use in cost-sensitive applications where only a small number of digital inputs and outputs is needed

Rail-mounting universal supply saves panel space
Only 22.5mm wide, the new rail-mounting Mini-PS power supply from Phoenix Contact offers big savings in valuable panel space.
All types have a built-in bus coupler, thereby eliminating the extra cost and space associated with using a separate coupler.
Available in versions for Interbus, Profibus, DeviceNet and CANopen applications, the new modules provide connections for both two- and three-wire devices, thus avoiding the need to use additional terminals for field connections.
All connections to the modules are made via snap-on terminal blocks, which can be easily removed, without disturbing the wiring, for maintenance and fault finding.
To aid rapid identification of connections, and as an aid to eliminating wiring errors, the terminal blocks are colour-coded.
The exceptionally small size of the Phoenix Contact Inline block fieldbus I/O modules - only 50mm in overall height - means that they can be easily accommodated in even the most cramped control panels.
They also fit easily into low-profile junction boxes, and their light weight means that they are also suitable for mounting on enclosure doors.
Fully compatible with Phoenix Contact's extensive Inline range of fieldbus equipment, the new Inline block modules can be mixed at will with other products from the range to produce fieldbus solutions which combine total versatility with exceptional value for money.
