A special plug connector from Phoenix Contact's Variosub range is now available for DeviceNet applications in harsh environments.

Variosub fieldbus plug connectors offer reliable protection in the industrial environment, designed to protection category IP67, they have push-pull locking between the mounting and housing for easy operation.

Integrated EMC connectivity provides protection from electromagnetic interference and enables disturbance-free data transfer.

Two integrated cable glands make it easy to use network structures using incoming and outgoing cables.

With an easy-to-wire screw connector, the connection is quick to hook-up under field conditions.

A special Combicon contact insert with a 30uin gold plating in accordance with ODVA fieldbus organisation guidelines ensures faultless operation and compatibility in the system.

When the terminating resistor is switched in the subsequent fieldbus nodes are disconnected, making it easy to bring the network into operation step-by-step.

In addition, pluggable coding profiles prevent improper connections and labelling plates ensure quick identification once installed.
