A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 16, 2003

A new handbook offers help and guidance on the use and installation of products in hazardous environments.

The recent implementation of the ATEX Directives has resulted in Phoenix Contact creating a handbook on the subject, to offer help and guidance on the use and installation of products in hazardous environments.

The A4 size, full colour, 40-page guide contains detailed information on key topics including, the regulations and directives, installation and protection methods, zones and types of protection in hazardous environments.

Additional guidance on the selection and use of specific ATEX approved products such as rail-mounted terminals, surge protection and interface devices are also covered.

Primarily created for manufacturers, users and operators in the oil and gas industry, the handbook is equally of benefit to other sectors where electrical equipment is installed and operated in hazardous environments.
