ME MAX housings from Phoenix Contact are said to mark a new standard in rail-mounting electronic housings with their compact size still providing the maximum space for custom electronics In addition, a larger front surface is provided for multipin connectors as well as space for operating and control functions under the hinged see-through cover

The signal and supply voltages are conveniently and cost-effectively looped through a mounting rail bus connection, which is clipped onto the DIN rail.

Single devices can therefore be clipped into position or removed from the network in the usual way without disturbing the supply or signal connections.

The main features of these electronics housings include the modular housing design which can be extended from 17.5 to 45mm in width; the mixed fixed and plug connection technology with up to three termination levels; as well as plug connection technology in screw, spring and quick connection form, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

Additionally, other industrial plug connectors such as D-sub and RJ-45 can be easily integrated increasing their flexibility and usage.
