The new Mini-MCR product family from Phoenix Contact provides a wide range of functions in 6.2mm-wide modules without loss of performance.
The product family includes isolating amplifiers, signal duplicators, passive isolators, repeater power supplies and temperature transducers.
All products have three-way isolation and have an overall height of 102.5mm, allowing them to be installed in 120mm deep enclosures on plant.
The family is approved by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) for marine applications and is also suitable for installation in ATEX Zone 2 areas.
The modules can be used individually or can use a power system bus that allows multiple units to be powered from one connection.
In addition the system includes a matching 1.5A power supply and a redundancy diode module for critical operations.
The temperature transducers connect to two-, three- or four-wire PT100 and type J or K sensors.
The passive loop powered modules can isolate two 4-20mA signals in one 6.2mm wide module.
The modules can be supplied with either screw terminal or spring cage connections.
