Surge and lightning protection products explained

A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 7, 2006

A new 20-page technical handbook explains the concepts and practice behind the Trabtech range of surge and lightning protection products.

Phoenix Contact has published a technical handbook called "Trabtech basics" to provide electrical engineers with details on surge voltage protection.

The 20-page handbook covers the theory of surge voltage including lightning strikes and provides practical solutions for a range of applications, from MCR technology and data interfaces, to power supplies and Ex circuits.

Lightning and surge voltages can cause damage to a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment resulting in expensive replacements and costly downtime.

The Trabtech range of surge and lightning protection products can significantly reduce the damage to electrical and electronic equipment and therefore reduce these costs.
