Adapters provide flexibility

A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 8, 2006

Adapters meet the need for flexible sensor and actuator cabling, reducing the number of cable types that suppliers need to stock, as various adapters can be used for sensor connections.

Phoenix Contact can offer a variety of adapters to meet the need for flexible sensor and actuator cabling, reducing the number of cable types that suppliers need to stock, as various adapters can be used for sensor connections.

The adapters are available in a variety of pin layouts and models, as M8-pin to M12-socket or vice versa.

For quick wire connection, the adapter is equipped with M12 to M8 snap-in technology.

As an alternative to the Y-connectors, there is a T-adapter that permits several directions for the cable leading out of the sensor and actuator box.

As a result, the connection space available in the machine can be reduced.

All adapters fulfil the requirements of Protection Class IP67 making them suitable for harsh industrial environments and machine applications.
