NAMUR interface modules and Ex isolating amplifiers comply with the requirements of SIL2 for functional safety.

Phoenix Contact has added two additional modules to its range for safety-relevant applications.

The NAMUR interface modules PI-EX-NAM/RNO-NE and PI-EX-NAMTO-P Ex isolating amplifiers now comply with the requirements of SIL2 for functional safety.

Both modules are part of the easy to use pluggable Process Interface range of electronic modules for use in potentially dangerous areas and provide EXi explosion protection.

Their particular advantage is that they save both space and time.

Combination with base terminals allows direct installation at the switching level of the control cabinet as well as prewiring of the modules which are only 12.4mm wide.

The application-dependent electronics can then be plugged in afterwards.
