Phoenix Contact's Mini Power adapter is compliant with the EN 60079-15 standard and may be used in hazardous areas where 3G category materials are required.
Phoenix Contact now offers an especially compact Mini Power adapter with 24V DC and 1.5A for use in Ex areas.

Thanks to a wide input range of 85 to 264V AC and an international certification package, this power adapter can be used anywhere in the world.
A power failure bridging time of more than 100ms under full load and the high mean time between failure (MTBF) of greater than 500,000 hours provide a high degree of operational reliability even in unstable networks.
With the Power Boost power reserve, the devices supply 2A of output current.
This current is permanent in ambient temperatures up to 40C or available for a few minutes in higher temperatures.
The output current is limited to 2A in the event of a secondary short-circuit or overload.
If this happens, the module does not shut off but continues to supply the output current and the secondary voltage is reduced until the short circuit is fixed.
The V/I characteristic with Power Boost reserve ensures a reliable supply of high start-up currents of capacitive loads or from consumers with DC/DC convertors in the input circuit.
The function monitoring feature via relay contact is used for remote diagnostics.
On site the LED provides status information for simple setup.
The connection method with Combicon plug connectors has proven to be especially maintenance-friendly.
Further advantages are offered by the ability to connect in parallel for increased performance and redundancy as well as the wide temperature range of -25C to +70C.
