Cabling allows easy cleaning

A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 26, 2007

In order to satisfy the food industry's strict hygiene standards, high-grade stainless steel is used in laboratories and by the manufacturers of production plants.

All metal components in Phoenix Contact's new range of sensor/actuator cabling for laboratories and production plants are now made of stainless steel 1.4404.

The product range includes M12 components as IP67 custom-assembly plug connectors and plug-in sockets, as well as IP65/67 and IP69K assembled cables with moulded-plug connectors and distributor boxes with main distribution cables.

The smooth surfaces offer micro-organisms little opportunity to gain a foothold or multiply, and stainless steel can also be easily cleaned with aggressive agents.
