Phoenix Contact releases Profinet I/O Rugged Line

A Phoenix Contact product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 16, 2008

Phoenix Contact has added a Profinet I/O device to its I/O Rugged Line range for harsh industrial environments.

The Profinet I/O Rugged Line device features robust housing, detailed diagnostics for sensors and actuators and tool-free device replacement.

The integrated switch saves money when setting up line structures.

Plug connectors with push-pull locking for Profinet and supply voltages, M12 connectors for peripheral devices and snap-on device electronics all simplify on-site installation and start-up tasks.

This helps to keep wiring faults to a minimum.

The extensive diagnostic functionality allows quick start-up and troubleshooting.

The separation of diagnostic indicators and connectors makes all status and diagnostic LEDs easy to read and ensures cable outlets are safe to step on.

The Rugged Line I/O field devices all feature IP 65/67 protection and die-cast zinc housings, allowing them to be installed next to welding tongs or claws.
