Professional Pipe Tools, including the new Pipe-prep and the award winning Pipeslice, will be the key exhibits from Kopex International at the forthcoming PHEX exhibition.
The brand new Pipe-prep is a dual purpose tool that quickly, cleanly and safely cleans and deburrs copper pipe ends.
Flattening and smoothing, rather than cutting off burrs, the tool maintains the integrity of the material but produces the right shape for subsequent joining.
Pipe-prep removes oxidisation, a common cause of pipe joint failures, and any burr on the inside of the pipe is rolled and smoothed, rather than being cut off and thus creating swarf.
This helps to maintain contaminant-free pipe work in refrigerant and potable applications.
Pipe-prep's smoothing of the cut copper pipe removes any sharp edges and consequently reduces the problem of restricted flow.
Using the tool also means more contact surface area for joints, giving them long life and fewer failures.
Like the award winning Pipeslice, this labour-saving device requires just a few twists of the wrist and its compact design makes it suitable for use in the tightest spaces, taking up little room in the toolbox.
