UHP hydrogen generator flow capacities
increased
Parker Balston has announced an increase in the flow capacities available within the company's industry-leading range of ultra high purity (UHP) hydrogen generators

Trubind 700 absorbent cartridges
Parker Filtration has introduced Trubind 700 - which removes free, emulsified and dissolved oils in many process fluids
Two new models have been introduced - the H2-500 and H2-800 - with flow capacities of 500 cc/min and 800 cc/min, respectively.
The Parker Balston range of UHP hydrogen generators now comprises five models which supply 99.99999% pure gas from 150 cc/min to 1200 cc/min, which are complemented by a fuel gas grade 90 cc/min generator.
These generators provide hydrogen safely and conveniently eliminating the need to interrupt analysis to change cylinders.

Filters aim to significantly reduce waste levels
Parker Filtration has introduced a new range of 'green' filter products - the E-Series - which will significantly reduce waste levels and landfill use.
Parker Balston hydrogen generators can be used with any instrumentation requiring high purity hydrogen anywhere a standard electrical supply is available.
Compact and reliable - only one square foot of bench space is required - they are designed to run continuously 24 hours per day.
Commenting on the technology used in the Parker Balston H2-500 and H2-800 hydrogen generators, Product Manager, Matthew Lampton, said, "We use the hybrid combination of an exclusive solid polymer electolyte to produce hydrogen on demand, and a palladium purifier module to remove oxygen and moisture down to less than 1 ppm.
User safety is ensured because only 100 ml is stored in the system at any time and at low pressure." The generators are an excellent source of ultra pure, dry hydrogen for a range of laboratory uses.
They are used extensively with Gas Chromatographs (GC), as a feed gas for Flame Ionisation Detectors (FID), as a reaction gas for Hall Detectors and as a carrier gas to ensure absolute repeatability of retention times.
In high sensitivity Trace Hydrocarbon Analysers and air pollution monitors, the hydrogen produced ensures the lowest possible background noise.
Other applications include using hydrogen for hydrogenation reactions and for FIDs used in the analysis of engine gas emissions in the automobile industry.
One Parker Balston H2-500 or H2-800 hydrogen generator can supply 99.99999% pure carrier gas at 7 barg to multiple GCs, and fuel gas up to 20 FIDs.
Based on cylinder gas savings alone, a Parker Balston hydrogen generator can pay for itself in less than one year.
Parker Balston hydrogen generators meet the strict safety guidelines of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and the regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA - 1910.103).
Most importantly, they are certified for laboratory use by CSA, UL, IEC 1010 and CE marked. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filter Division ...
