Filters keep metallising exhausts green
Parker Balston vacuum pump exhaust filters ensure that exhaust levels from metallising processes at Amcor Flexibles Camvac's Thetford production facility meet environmental requirements.
Parker Balston vacuum pump exhaust filters are specified by Amcor Flexibles Camvac for ensuring that exhaust levels from metallising processes at the company's Thetford production facility meet with current industrial environmental requirements Amcor Flexibles Camvac is Europe's leading manufacturer of flexible packaging which is used for a wide range of foods such as snack foods, biscuits and pet foods

Trubind 700 absorbent cartridges
Parker Filtration has introduced Trubind 700 - which removes free, emulsified and dissolved oils in many process fluids
Amcor has five metallising production machines.
Metallising is the process of applying, in a vacuum chamber, a thin aluminium layer onto flexible plastic film substrates for use as packaging.
In the process, aluminium wire is fed onto heaters where it evaporates and deposits itself as a very thin film onto the plastic substrate.
Vacuum pumps are used to ensure the integrity of the vacuum chamber.
However, with constant oil lubrication, there is always the possibility of oil mist or smoke being discharged to atmosphere in the process.
To ensure that any oil mist is eliminated from the vacuum pump exhausts, Parker Balston type AR vacuum pump exhaust filters are fitted.
These high efficiency filter cartridges require no electricity and operate to an efficiency of 99.9% of 0.1um-sized particles and droplets.
The high efficiency filter continuously drains the collected liquid, allowing users to recover expensive lubrication fluid.
In the Amcor flexibles Camvac application, the Parker Balston type AR vacuum pump exhaust filters were specified to replace a previously installed electrostatic unit that had proved to be unsuitable for the application.
With no electrical requirements, the filters have saved the company considerable time and expense. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filter Division ...
