A new self-sealing spring mechanism replaces the traditional reusable metal top seat spring assembly for double open end filter cartridge installations and brings about easier and faster cartridge changeout within the process industries, particularly chemical, food, beverage and coatings Designed for use with all Parker 2.5in OD wound, pleated and bonded cartridges, the new integral (welded), polypropylene self-sealing spring, in conjunction with a standard extended core, eliminates all loose metal components in the vessel and reduces the risk of bypass on conventional double open ended cartridges
