Filter incorporates PTC heater in filter
head
Head heater filter assembly for use with modern diesel engines that run on low sulphur fuels that are more susceptible to waxing than previous products.
From the Parker Hannifin Racor range of spin-on filters, is the 400HH (head heater) filter assembly, for use with modern diesel engines that run on low sulphur fuels These fuels are more susceptible to waxing than previous products on the market and can affect engine performance by blocking fuel lines and filters

Trubind 700 absorbent cartridges
Parker Filtration has introduced Trubind 700 - which removes free, emulsified and dissolved oils in many process fluids
To overcome this, the 400HH filter incorporates a positive temperature co-efficient (PTC) heater in the filter head, which essentially warms the fuel before the filtration stage to protect on-engine filters and ensure that diesel engines run cleaner, smoother and for longer.
It incorporates a high performance 10um element and will increase final fuel cleanliness at the injector, important when used with bio-diesel fuels, which typically suffer from higher levels of contamination from dirt, debris and suspended solids.
The PTC heater self-regulates the power it draws, depending on temperature and flow, and automatically powers down when the fuel flow stops.
The filter is easy to install and service, as the heater unit remains connected when changing filter elements.
This eliminates the potential for damage that can be experienced when using competing heated bowl filters.
It is designed to be lightweight and tough, with an aluminium head with integral primer pump, a water separating filter can and a high-capacity engineered polymer water collection bowl.
Three sizes are available, each using a standard M16 1.5 head port size and a semi synthetic, water separating Aquabloc 10um element that is waterproof, rustproof and has a high retention capacity.
The system can be used in 12 and 24V applications, giving flexibility and inventory cost-saving in stockholding as one product will suffice for both voltages. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filter Division ...
