Diesel engine filters meet racing needs

Parker Hannifin's fuel filter water separators are capable of removing contaminants including moisture, dirt and particulates of less than 10 microns in size.

Racor Filter Division Europe is sponsoring Team Aravi Racing in its specially modified Renault Premium race truck class Team Aravi Racing competes in both the French Truck Racing Championship and a number of other European truck racing events, and Parker Racor is one of its five major sponsors, providing both logistics and parts support

Parker Hannifin's fuel filter water separators are capable of removing contaminants including moisture, dirt and particulates of less than 10 microns in size and can make a significant difference to the performance, reliability and fuel efficiency of the latest generation of high-performance diesel engines.

These typically incorporate fuel injection systems that can function at pressures of up to 1600bar and with injector tolerances of a few microns, making it essential to eliminate all forms of contamination from the fuel supply.

This is especially crucial under racing conditions.

Michel Vergonzanne, Team Manager for Aravi Racing, explains that, "Our relationship with Parker Racor has been particularly valuable in terms of technical and logistical support, with the sponsorship agreement with the company being an important factor in our success in the last two seasons".

In addition to fuel filtration products, Parker Racor also manufactures closed crankcase ventilation (CCV) filters, which are now fitted as standard by many leading truck manufacturers and are chosen for their efficiency, reliability and their ability to reduce overall operating costs.

Just as importantly, Parker Racor CCV filters minimise the problems of pollution, meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 emission standards, and keeping engine bays and air filters clear of oil by allowing engine blow-by gases emanating from the crankcase to be fed back into the air intake before the turbo charger.

Parker Racor CCV filters have upstream crankcase pressure regulation as opposed to less efficient turbo vacuum limiters used by other manufacturers. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin - Filter Division ...
