The new P201-F Series of switch probes from Peak Test Services series feature a 'normally closed' switch configuration, in which compressing the probe opens the switch and breaks the circuit.

A typical application for the new probes could be the requirement to break a circuit for safety reasons when two components or surfaces come into contact with each other.
