CAD software donated to Canadian technical college

ProgeSoft North America and ProgeSoft Italy are co-ordinating the donation of ProgeCAD 2007 Professional CAD software to the Nova Scotia Community College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Nova Scotia Community College, with approximately 25,000 students, was founded in 1910.

NSCC offers over 121 fields of study in five different major schools.

ProgeCAD will be used to educate students in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, drafting, electrical, power engineering, mechanical engineering, piping, wood manufacturing and manufacturing engineering.

ProgeCAD 2007 Professional, the latest IntelliCAD software from ProgeSoft, includes a library manager for discipline specific symbols, ACIS solid modelling, raster image support, rendering, and a set of tools that only ProgeSoft offers.

ProgeCAD software supports the DWG design file format, from AutoCAD version 2.5 through AutoCAD 2007, plus support for AutoCAD menus, scripts, blocks, and AutoLISP.

Public and private schools, colleges and technical schools may apply for free educational copies of ProgeCAD 2007 Professional for their classrooms via the ProgeSoft website.

Since its inception, the ProgeSoft North America "Free for Schools" programme has donated to over 100 schools, colleges, and technical institutions in North America.
