Rotary machine base increases production
rates
Velomat is the new rotary machine base which offers the possibility of dramatically increasing production rates for automatic assembly of parts up to 10kg.
Velomat is the new rotary machine base which offers the possibility of dramatically increasing production rates for automatic assembly of parts up to 10kg By incorporating cam indexing tables and pick and place manipulators from Colombo Filippetti's extensive range, Velomat can provide 2 to 24 work-stations as standard together with a variety of pick and place motions which include L-trajectory, C-trajectory, horizontal run, vertical run, plus many more

Standard range of elliptical gears on the market
Elliptical gears are often proposed for solving problems where one needs a cyclical speed or phase variation between two (or more) connected shafts, and there is now a standard range on the market
The advantages of anti-backdrive gears
Unique advantages of anti-backdrive spur gears include increased efficiency (80% is common), reduction ratios of less than 25:1 (even 1:1), bi-directionality, and simple, compact construction
The innovative design incorporates several patents, which enables Velomat to offer a unique combination of : Smooth and gentle motion; Micron accurate positioning; High cycle rates (up to 120 parts per minute); and low cost.
Velomat requires only minimal design work making it ideal for end-users either with some in-house engineering capability, or alternatively in collaboration with a special purpose machine maker.
Only the in-feed, out-feed, tooling nests and gripper jaws are required to be added, meaning that it is not uncommon for tooling design and detailing to be completed in 40 to 80 hours.
Because Velomat is supplied completely assembled, tooling the machine can begin on the day it arrives.
Proven in applications throughout mainland Europe, which include the assembly of pharmaceutical disposables, plastic mouldings and electrical/mechanical sub-assemblies, Velomat is now available in the UK and the Republic of Ireland through Precision Motion (Cofil) Ltd, complete with full engineering support.
Further information is available in the form of CD, video and catalogues.
