PRE-ELEC ESD 6110 is a novel HIPS-based static-dissipative compound for static control applications.

PRE-ELEC ESD 6110 is a novel HIPS-based static-dissipative compound for static control applications.

Specially formulated for the co-extrusion of ESD sheet, this inherently dissipative polymer (IDP) is ideal for thermoformed ESD-proof packaging applications in the electronics, medical, pharmaceutical and paper handling industries.

The new material is colourable, washable, reusable, recyclable, clean (low outgassing) and permanently dissipative even in very low humidity (12%) conditions.

Using only 5% ESD 6110 on both surfaces of a standard grade HIPS or PS (or regrind) sheet results in a co-extruded three-layer construction that is much more cost effective than a solid sheet.

Products made with this thermoformable sheet have a surface resistance of between 100Mohm and 5Gohm and a charge decay time of less than 2s from 5kV to 50V.
