Health and Safety course designed for managers
Praxis42, a leading health and safety training company, is launching a new eLearning course for managers in business of all sizes, called Managing Safety.
The Managing Safety course content covers the Health and Safety Executive's guidance note 'Successful Health and Safety Management' (HSG65) with the aim to improve the understanding of management of health and safety in the workplace.
The course provides managers with all the essential information they need to manage health and safety in their area of responsibility and control.
The company, which is fast becoming a key figure in the health and safety industry, provides a range of essential training and eLearning courses.
Chris Griffin, sales and marketing manager says: "Managers are frequently criticised for failing to take their policy duties and legal responsibilities seriously but we find this is because they simply don't have the knowledge and understanding of what is required of them".
Managing Safety from Praxis42 is a comprehensive training course that covers everything managers need to know to understand their responsibilities for health, safety and environment issues in their workplace and how to apply them.
Chris continues: "Education and training are crucial to any organisation's health and safety management systems and are also essential in order to comply with increasingly rigorous legal responsibilities.
"Many workplace accidents and injuries as well as ill health in the workplace could be significantly reduced or avoided by following this simple and cost effective training programme".
The course has been developed by managers, whom are health and safety professionals, for managers, resulting in a quality training experience that can be delivered online, when and where it is needed.
It will help managers improve the safety performance of their organisation by engaging them in a learning experience that explores the key components in developing and managing a successful health and safety management system.
Elements covered include the principles of risk assessment, improving accident and reporting investigations, monitoring techniques and the main elements of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
It offers the further benefit of a learning management system (LMS) which records all the training events and makes them available to view and manage electronically, solving any compliance record keeping problems.
