Filling indicator is simple speedy solution

A Penko Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 16, 2003

The SAI-MV filling indicator is the result of over 30 years of experience in batch weighing and filling applications.

The solution for managing batch filling operations often involves a complex and sophisticated processor that must be carefully programmed to complete each step of the process.

For many applications however, this level of sophistication and versatility means extra time, complexity and cost.

This is where a simple, preprogrammed dedicated filling indicator is the answer.

Penko Engineering's SAI-MV filling indicator is the result of over 30 years of experience in batch weighing and filling applications.

This simple, but extremely rugged instrument has been crafted to accommodate most types of repetitive filling and dosing applications for solids, liquids and slurries.

Irrespective of the type of packaging boxes, bottles, cans, sacks the SAI-MV provides full control from start to finish of the process.

At the start point when the SAI-MV enable input is activated, either locally on the touch panel or remotely, the instrument begins a pre-programmed filling sequence, monitoring progress at a rate of 250 weighing samples a second.

Dedicated software provides dosing options, in-flight correction and a choice of either net or gross weighing measurement.

All parameters of the filling sequence may be custom set, making setup and testing a straightforward process which requires no specialist training.

The self-contained mains-powered SAI-MV is housed in a compact panel-mounted case with splash-proof membrane touch panel for display and local controls.

Direct connections are made on the rear panel for transducer inputs, three solid-state outputs, and external start/stop/enable controls.

At the end of each filling sequence, enhanced versions of the SAI-MV will either print out a report of the sequence (SAI-MV-PR) or transmit the data to a PC (SAI-MV-PC) for batch analysis and data processing.
