Platinum resistance sensors are low in cost
Low-cost high-accuracy temperature sensors are described in a new catalogue.
Low-cost high-accuracy temperature sensors are described in a new catalogue available from Platinum Sensors .
The new range comprises RoHS compliant, platinum resistance elements in a variety of sizes and designs.
All offer a fast response time, positive temperature coefficient and linear output.
They are ideally suited for use in probe assemblies, mounting on printed circuit boards or any other application where accurate and stable temperature measurement or temperature compensation is required.
Sensors with connection wires can be supplied in a variety of sizes from only 1mm wide and 1.7mm long with nominal resistances of 100, 200, 500, 1000 or 10kohm at 0C.
Standard versions have an operating temperature range of -70 to +500C but others can be used to measure in the range -196 to +1000C.
Standard tolerance class is to DIN EN60751 class B (+/- 0.24%) but close tolerance versions (+/-0.12% and +/-0.08%) are also available.
SMD versions are available in three sizes: 1206, 805 and 603 with nominal resistances of 100 or 1000ohm at 0C and a choice of two tolerance classes: DIN B (+/-0.24%) and DIN 2B (+/-0.48%).
Their normal operating range is -50 to +130C.
