Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 7, 2008

The LG temperature sensor element from Platinum Sensors is hermetically sealed and highly resistant to vibration and mechanical shock.

It comprises of a thin film sensor to either the Pt 100 or Pt 1000 standard housed inside a glass covering.

It is supplied with rigid connection wires that can be soldered, brazed or welded depending on the application.

The sensor measures 11mm long x 3mm diameter and is suited to PCB mounting or for use in temperature sensor assemblies.

The sensor has an operating temperature range of -40 to +180C, offers long-term stability, near-linear output and accuracy to the DIN B standard (approx +/- 0.24 per cent).

For high volume automated assembly lines it can be supplied on tape and reels.
