With the decline of the manufacturing Industry heavily reported in the UK, the growth of PPS since its founding in 1983 makes its steady expansion even more of a success.
Servicing the stainless steel, aluminium and yellow metal industries, PPS applies a mechanical finish to many products including sheet, plate, coil, blanks, tube, section, blanks and profiles.
The product range of the new company in Bury compliments this existing range by extending it into a variety of other products.
Managing Director, Peter Davies, said: "Having grown our company in the Midlands to one of the largest in the UK we were pleased to take this step to increase our production facilities even further".
Kirsty Davies, Director and General Manager added: "With the installation of two additional lines at our Midlands plant at the same time as this acquisition it is an exciting time for all of us".
"We are servicing more customers and producing more tonnage than ever before".
Growing the Professional Polishing family means that more lines in under-capacity areas, such as the reflective finishing of sheet are due to be added over the next year, and Peter Davies is keen to invest in plant for the group's Northern branch.
He said: "New finishes and additional lines in traditional areas are already planned".
"We are growing the company at an unprecedented rate and are keen to expand further, consolidating our reputation as the UK's premier choice for stainless steel polishing".
