For over two decades, the annual search to find the outstanding Businesswoman of the Year has attracted enormous interest.

Now in its 23rd year, the award is designed to recognise and honour success and aims to create role models for the future and inspire other women to achieve in their respective fields.

The winner will be announced exclusively at the Midlands Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards, on Friday 14th October 2005, at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel, near the NEC, Birmingham.

On hearing of her nomination, Davies said: "I am overwhelmed that I am being considered for this award".

"The manufacturing industry has suffered in recent years, but Professional Polishing Services strong growth in an ever changing climate proves that British industry - and British women in industry - are a force to be reckoned with".

"I am particularly proud to have such a loyal team who have worked hard to play their part in our company's success".

Finalists for the award will be announced after judging takes place on Monday 26th September 2005.
