Now available from Powerline is the Power Patch family of open-frame DC/DC converter modules from ETA Power.

Delivering power outputs of up to 10 W, the new units have four pins for direct PCB mounting, and feature a lightweight, low-profile 'topless' design for improved mechanical and thermal performance and ease of access.

The use of surface-mount technology and an optimised PCB layout, coupled with the shielding of magnetic components, ensures that electromagnetic effects are minimised, making the units compliant with EMC/RFI legislation.

Devices are available for inputs from 8-32 V or 18-72 V DC, and with outputs of 5, 12, 15 and 24 V DC.

Efficiency ratings are up to 87%.

The Power Patch OH series has an industry-standard 1 ? 2 inch (25.4 ? 50.8 mm) footprint and a height of only 0.44 inch (11 mm).

The OB and OE Series offer alternative footprints for designs where space is at a premium.

The Power Patch family of DC/DC convertors have a 3-year warranty.
