HMI takes a dim view

A Pro-face UK product story

After years devising some of the brightest displays on the market, Pro-face UK has released the GP2400T-BR - with a reduced-brightness display.

After years devising some of the brightest displays on the market, Pro-face UK has released the GP2400T-BR - with a reduced-brightness display.

This 7.4in TFT colour display HMI is suitable for use in low light level applications, such as the bridge of a ship at night.

The original GP2400T was too bright at all three of its brightness levels - 100, 25 and 12% - acting almost like a torch.

Therefore, a fourth level of brightness was introduced at just 3% of the original.

The unit still has all the outstanding features of the original GP2400T, but a hardware modification enables this additional level of brightness.

Features include: Ethernet data handling; high speed controller connection; data collection and remote monitoring via an intranet or the Internet; screen data maintenance via network; CF card data handling; production data backup and sharing with a PC application; and screen data maintenance without a PC.
