A Pro-face UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 28, 2006

A new range of industrial PCs comes with Windows XP multiple-language support.

Pro-face has a new range of industrial PCs with Windows XP multiple-language support.

Key functions are extracted from Windows XP Professional and are installed on a CF card.

Because there is no hard disk, there is no risk of hard disk crashes.

Compared with hard disk products, the CF card industrial PC gives excellent shock and vibration resistance.

When the write filter (EWF) is enabled, the CF card cannot be written to therefore data damage can be prevented.

When EWF is on, because data cannot be written to the CF card, the lifetime of the CF card is extended.

When EWF is enabled, it is not necessary to shut down the operating system so the unit can be turned on and off whenever required.
