Gas boilers on improved delivery and availability

Greater availability and fast delivery for contractors is the key to a new merchant initiative announced by Potterton Commercial.

The company's atmospheric gas modular boiler range is now available exclusively through major UK merchants.

All boilers from the range will be supported in branch by high-impact sales literature and point-of-sale material.

Ken Percival, Potterton Commercial's general manager, says: "We tested the market's reaction to enhancing product availability levels when we offered the Derwent Compact on an 'exclusive' distribution basis with key merchants.

This has proved to be a huge success.

"On the back of detailed market research, we have now extended this arrangement across our entire range of atmospheric and condensing gas boilers.

With a powerful combination of competitive pricing and ex-stock availability nationwide we believe this provides customers with an even more compelling product offer." The atmospheric gas range includes the Derwent series, comprising the successful Derwent Compact modular boiler.

Delivering outstanding kW per m2, the Derwent Compact offers a unique combination of heat exchanger, burners and controls resulting in an operating efficiency of 90.7% (nett), 81.7% (gross).

Offering single application outputs of up to 112kW and 448kW as a modular system, the five-model range offers hi/lo burners and volt free contacts as standard.

Competitively priced and compact in design the Derwent compact boasts the lowest NOx levels possible for a cast-iron gas atmospheric boiler.

The Derwent generates less than 70mg NOx per kW/hr and is approved to Class 5 levels.

Completing the Derwent range are the Derwent Premier (64 to 193kW output) and the Derwent Prestige series (66-348kW output).

Also available is the company's "Slimline Spacesaver".

With its unique design and space saving characteristics and measuring at just 490mm wide, the boiler is designed with ease-of-installation in mind.

No pipe work is needed for modular connection - everything is integral, complete with mating flanges and pumps.

Complete with conventional and balanced flue options the boiler boasts an operating efficiency of 92%.

Completing the atmospheric range is the company's condensing boiler offer.

Available in outputs of 69-373kW, the Derwent Condensing high efficiency boiler offers exceptional performance and low NOx technology.

The range is supported by the Euro Condense boiler rated from 40kW to 250kW.

Potterton Commercial's long-life guarantee, 10 years parts and labour on the heat exchanger is also part of the package.
