As part of the ongoing development of its Derwent Compact modular boiler range, Potterton Commercial has increased the output of the biggest boiler in the range from 112 to 116kW with corresponding increases across the range Now available in five sizes from 50 to 116 kW the boiler represents even better value for money in cost per kilowatt

"We are constantly looking at ways to improve our products performance " says Potterton Commercial's director and general manager, Ken Percival.

"Like all of our boilers, the Derwent Compact is designed and manufactured to meet the high energy efficiency requirements demanded by the market and to be able to give our customers that little bit extra is always a bonus.

This is reflected in the new name given to the product, now known as the Derwent Compact A and the good news for customers is that the price remains the same, so in effect, they will be getting more performance for their money".

Part of Potterton Commercial's atmospheric gas range, the Derwent Compact offers a unique combination of cast iron heat exchanger, burners and controls resulting in an operating efficiency of 90.7% (net), 81.7% (gross).

The Compact A now offers the same levels of efficiency with a maximum single application output of 116kW, rising to 464kW when used as a modular system.

The Derwent Compact also boasts the lowest NOx levels possible with gas atmospheric boilers, generating less than 70mg NOx per kW/hr - equivalent to Class 5.
