Compact UPS keeps critical supplies running
The T6 Compact+ is a true online double-conversion UPS that be configured to run in green mode as a line-interactive system to reduce energy costs.
New from UPS specialist, AEC UK, the T6 Compact+ is a true online double-conversion UPS that has been specially engineered to offer performance, compactness and reliability for critical applications.
Available in power ratings from 10 to 30kVA in three- to single-phase and 10 to 40kVA in three- to three-phase, the T6 Compact+ is lightweight for easy manoeuvrability, has convenient access for cable and battery installation and with noise levels of just 60dBA at 1m, can be conveniently located in computer rooms.
Providing the ultimate protection for data networks, CCTV and other essential applications, the T6 Compact+ is packed with communication options and optional operating modes.
Normal mode is as a true online double conversion UPS.
Alternatively the T6 Compact+ can be configured to run as a frequency convertor or in green mode as a line-interactive system, which further reduces energy costs.
The T6 Compact+'s MTTR (mean time to repair) features dramatically reduce service or repair times.
Easy diagnosis of any problems can be quickly achieved through the UPS's LCD screen or through a software interface.
The T6 Compact+'s modular construction and layout means that all circuit boards are housed in a series of drawers that simply slide out at the front of the machine to expose the system's components so that removal and replacement of a drawer can be done in less than 10 minutes.
To protect against hot spots or battery decay, the T6 Compact+ incorporates a battery management system, which is calibrated in accordance with most battery manufacturers' specifications.
Battery temperature is carefully monitored, with the data being passed back to the charger.
Should the battery get warmer, the UPS will automatically adjust its charging regime to reduce voltage.
Any major battery problems will be raised as an alarm.
The combination of IGBTs and DSP enables the UPS to have an almost negligible effect on the mains supply providing less than 5% harmonic distortion.
This important feature enables generators to be downsized by as much as 50%.
The use of DSP, IGBT and tricore technology ensures that the T6 Compact+ offers AC/AC efficiency of 92%, which is typically around 8% better than conventional UPS and provides savings of 2.8kW per on hour on a 40kVA installation.
Because the T6 Compact+ runs so efficiency, generating less heat, the air conditioning system can be down-rated.
Suitable with almost any type of load accepting power factor of either 0.9 leading or 0.9 lagging, this makes T6 Compact+ ideal for applications with blade services or other devices where a leading power factor can offer a serious challenge.
Conforming to all relevant electrical safety standards and carrying the CE mark, the T6 Compact+ is supported by AEC UK's full range of services.
