With an M12 diameter and an overall length of 70mm the new range of ultrasonic sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs offers a compact, space saving solution for many materials handling and conveying applications.

Using patented technology, the blind region is only 30mm with a programmable sensing distance of up to a maximum 400mm.

PNP single-output versions are available from stock now with NPN or current/voltage analogue output models available later this year.

The UB400-12GM-E5-V1 offers the user five different output functions to suit the particular application: window mode, normally open; window mode, normally closed; switch point, normally open; switch point, normally closed; and detection of object presence.

The sensor is programmed via the 'teach in' input or UB-PROG2 handheld programming unit and offers switch state and alignment/error LED indication, 10-30V DC operating voltage and an IP65 brass, nickel-plated housing construction with an M12 4-pin connector.
